Lanark swimmer Billy Davies strikes gold

BILLY Davies of Lanark Amateur Swimming Club has become a Scottish Schools Champion, winning the 13/14 boys 200m breaststroke at the Dolan Aqua Centre in East Kilbride.

Billy triumphed in 2mins 48.09secs when swimming for Lanark Grammar School, with his Lanark clubmate Cameron Watkins (Biggar High) setting a new club record of 55.54secs to take second spot in the 15/16 boys 100m freestyle.
