Lanark land 'best draw possible'

Home tie for United in quarter-final

LANARK United landed a dream home tie against Fife outfit Kelty Hearts in Monday night's Scottish Cup quarter-final draw.

Central Division 1 outfit United will be confident of beating the East Region premier league team when the last eight showdown is played at Moor Park on Saturday March 10, kick-off 2.30pm.

''It is as good a draw as we could have got,'' delighted United secretary Tam Anderson told Gazette Sport on Tuesday.

''The last four teams left in the draw at the end were ourselves, Kelty, Linlithgow and Pollok, so we definitely got the best of it. But Kelty will be a tough game, because they beat Kilsyth in the last round.''
