John Lawrie and Scott Boyd complete ride across Britain
SUPER cyclists John Lawrie and Scott Boyd completed their ride across the length of Britain in just EIGHT days.
John (31), from Wiston and 26-year-old Scott, from Carluke, completed the 1,010 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End by cycling 158 miles on the final day.
However, for John, who has also competed in this year's Virgin London Marathon, it was all worth it because of the money raised for charity.
He said: "It was very tough but a couple of our friends came and cycled with us on the Friday, which made a big difference to us.
"When we finished it was a great relief and I have to thank my father-in-law Jim Smillie who was driving our support vehicle. He deserves a massive thanks after putting up with me and Scott for eight days."
