Several youngsters ‘shuttled’ to Carluke High School for the 2011 Clydesdale Sports Council Junior Badminton Championships, and a lot of them proved to be a great success

Singles winners were, Boys Singles: Under-11 – Mark Dobbin; Under-12 – Andrew Lacey; Under-14 – Alistair Orr; Under-16 – Euan Watson. Girls Singles: Under-11 – Abbey Dickson; Under-12 – Beth Woodside; Under-14 – Rebecca Dobbin; Under-16 – Hannah Baird. Boys Doubles: Under-12 – Struan Bailey & Andrew Lacey; Under-14 – Alistair Orr & Cameron Peters; Under-16 – Connor Begley & Kristopher Cooper. Girls Doubles: Under-12 – Chloe Hamilton & Chloe Paterson; Under-14 – Rebecca Dobbin & Katryna Scott; Under-16 – Kirstie Baird & Caitlin McKenzie. Mixed Doubles: Under-12 – Andrew Lacey & Abbey Dickson; Under-14 – Alistair Orr & Rebecca Dobbin; Under-16 – Euan Watson & Kirstie Baird. Youth Boys Singles – Grant Paul; Youth Girls Singles – Elise Printer; Youth Boys Doubles – Grant Paul & Alistair Scott; Youth Girls Doubles – Hannah Baird & Alice Fingland; Youth Mixed Doubles – Peter Gibson & Elise Printer.
