Cameron Penman back to badminton

SUFFERING the agony of tennis elbow for 10 years left Carluke badminton ace Cameron Penman completely stuck...but he became a force once again thanks to a miraculous magnetic cure recommended by former Scotland squash international Douglas Moffat.

Four tiny magnets, the size of five pence pieces, were stuck to Cameron's right elbow with surgical tape — and within 14 weeks the 36-year-old, of Station Road — went from being unable to even lift a cup of tea to playing and coaching badminton.

"The tennis elbow was brought on by the fact that I had been doing far too much training," Cameron said.

"It was an absolute nightmare not being able to swing a racket. My arm just couldn't take it.

"The condition affected everything in my whole life. Not being able to grip with my right hand was completely horrible.

"I had 10 depressing years between 1998 and 2008 where I didn't really do anything."
