Big fun at rugby open day!
A BUCKING bronco, golf pitching competition, bungee running, live music, catering tents, plus demonstrations of rugby, cricket and athletics...all popular attractions at the recent Biggar Rugby Club Open Day.
"It was a very successful day," club correspondent Alistair Stewart said.
"It was about welcoming people here and it definitely worked.
"We had a great turnout of people, and all in all it was an excellent way of promoting the club."
Biggar's young Mini and Girl players trained in front of the crowds, while the Midis and Seniors played matches.
In separate tents, Biggar Rugby Club and Macmillan Cancer Support provided teas, coffees and home baking.
It is all part of the club's policy of looking to encouraging youngsters to take up the sport early to become the Biggar stars of the future.
All in all, it certainly sounds as if the day was a big success for the club!
