LANARK United face a desperate fight if they are to secure a third bottom place finish in the Premier Superleague relegation play-off spot for the THIRD consecutive season.

The 2-0 home defeat by second bottom Kilbirnie on Saturday left United third bottom on 18 points, with two tricky league games remaining against Beith and Auchinleck.

Although United are five points ahead of Kilbirnie, the Ayrshire team has four games in hand.
