FOUR users of Lanark’s Harry Smith Complex won indoor bowling medals at the recent Special Olympics in Bath.
Margo McAulay and Andrew Harrison teamed up to win a pairs gold medal, with Andrew adding a singles gold for good measure.
Douglas Ritchie took an individual silver medal, with Janet Grant landing a pairs bronze with a partner from Glasgow.
Bowling coach at the Harry Smith Complex, a day centre for adults with learning and physical disabilities, is day centre officer Willie McWhinney.
He said: “Everyone here is over the moon for the four bowlers. It is absolutely brilliant that they all got medals.
“To see them rewarded for all the hard work they’ve put in during practice is fantastic.”
