Three Lanark cadets have been selected to represent Scotland in a national hockey competition.

Cpl Sarah Davies, Cdt Sarah Sharkey and Cdt Paige McLellan competed with the West of Scotland Wing which tied for second place in the regional hockey team event, playing against other wings in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Although their side did not win the competition, the three girls impressed the selectors enough with their performances that they have been selected for the Scotland and Northern Ireland team. They will compete at the finals competition at RAFC Cranwell next month to see if they can bring the trophy back to Scotland.
