GAZETTE Sport is delighted to report that our inaugural Youth Football Awards evening is now a complete sell-out.

Carluke Masonic Hall is the venue this Friday, May 16, for an event which around 130 representatives from Clydesdale’s boys teams will attend.

Speakers will include former SPL chairman Lex Gold, from Braidwood, Clydesdale MSP and current Children’s Minister Aileen Campbell and South Lanarkshire Provost Eileen Logan.

Awards night compere Millar Stoddart is looking forward to a terrific evening.

He said: “These awards recognise the fantastic work being carried out by individual coaches in the community to give youngsters the opportunity to take part in physical activity.”
