CARLUKE’S Crawforddyke Primary School triumphed at the Clydesdale Cross-Country Championships for the seventh year out of the event’s seven stagings.

Coach John Allan was thrilled that a Crawforddyke squad had again landed the Large Primary Trophy after some outstanding performances on the 1500m course during the 2013 event at The Moor in Carluke.

John said: “The children had been practising for this for two months and had put a considerable amount of effort in. To have won it seven years out of seven is an amazing achievement.”

Crawforddyke Primary school support assistant Mary Thomson thanked John for his efforts coaching pupils Rachel Hunter, David Dale, Cara Poots, Johnathan Sommerville and Lorna Jackson.
