TRAINING on six days a week has paid off in spectacular style for teenage Carluke judo ace Michelle Boyle.

For Michelle (15), of Middlehope Farm, who is profoundly deaf, won a bronze medal at the UK School Games in Sheffield from September 1 to 4 and followed this up a week later by winning at the Heart of England Judo Championships in Wallsall.

And the Dalziel High School pupil was at it again only on Saturday, when she won the Scottish under-16 title at Ravenscraig sports facility in Motherwell.
