Carluke Rovers were crushed 7-1 by Benburb in Saturday’s Central Division 1 clash at John Cumming Stadium.

The defeat means Colin Slater’s men are deep in relegation trouble with Rovers sitting second bottom of the table.

Elsewhere in Division 1 Lanark United’s recent good run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Larkhall Thistle at Gasworks Park.

Forth Wanderers earned a hard fought 2-0 away win at Glasgow Perthshire in Central Division 2 thanks to goals from Jamie Lindsay and Jason Corbett.

And Lesmahagow are still alive in the Scottish Junior Cup thanks to a 1-1 draw against Jeanfield Swifts at Craighead Park.
