THE fantastic new £220,000 Biggar Rugby Club set-up at its Hartreemill ground has officially been unveiled.
Backing from the Scottish Government and the Scottish Hydro Clyde Wind Farm Fund has paid for a new drainage system for first and second team pitches, six new changing rooms, extended referee changing rooms, a new medical suite and new entrance with better disabled access.
Cutting the ribbon at the official opening was Clydesdale MSP and Biggar resident Aileen Campbell who said: “It is terrific that Biggar has benefited from this money.
“This leaves a legacy for future members of the squad and encourages more youngsters to play rugby.”
