Hot of the press...this week's Carluke Gazette

IT’S been a busy start to the New Year for everyone at the Gazette and this week’s edition is crammed full of stories.

In Law, there is widespread anger from residents who feel that they have been cut off because of a bus service being stopped.

In Lanark, members of the community are quick to pay tribute to St Mary’s Church priest Fr Joseph Brannigan who died suddenly on January 2.

We speak to Lanark badminton legend John Barrie, Little Haven co-founder Jessie Griffin and Douglas doctor Sinclair Scott who all received gongs in the New Year Honours List.

There’s also plenty of pictures from the Hogmanay celebrations in Biggar and Carnwath and we also have plenty of snaps from Lanark’s traditional Het Pint on New Year’s Day.

Be sure to pick up a copy of this week’s Gazette, priced at 75p.
