NURSERY children from Carluke’s St Athanasius Primary School looked egg-straordinary during an Easter bonnet parade!

The youngsters dressed up to perform Easter songs for their parents and other family members during a 30-minute on-stage performance.

“The event was a huge success and the children’s Easter bonnets were fantastic,” said St Athanasius PS principal teacher Brenda Callan.

“I’d just like to say a big ‘thank you’ to staff, parents and families for their hard work and support in preparing the children for this special event.”

The performance – at which attending spectators received complimentary tea and coffee – was followed by the performing youngsters doing an Easter egg hunt which Brenda said they “thoroughly enjoyed”.

The pictures featured in our slideshow were taken by freelance photographer Andrew Wilson.
