Public invited to view plans for horticultural centre in Lanark’s Castlebank Park

MEMBERS of the public are being invited to the Tolbooth on Friday to view plans for a horticultural centre in Castlebank Park.

The project, by Lanark Development Trust, is part of the rebirth of the park, which has been decaying steadily over the last decade.

“We are applying for approximately half a million pounds,” said Sylvia Russell, Trust vice-chairman who is leading the Castlebank project.
