IS Clydesdale getting a second-class service from NHS Lanarkshire with health facilities withdrawing further and further away into the heart of the county?

That was the question asked by the area’s MSP Aileen Campbell as she claimed that her rural constituency wasn’t getting a fair slice of the NHS Lanarkshire spending ‘cake’ – with the urban parts of the county getting preferential treatment.

Her comments were spurred by the announcement of a new Health Centre for Wishaw.
