SNP MSP for Clydesdale, Aileen Campbell has warmly welcomed the announcement of funding grants for 169 groups across Scotland, including Lanark’s own St Mary’s Monday Club and Forget-Me-Not Care and Counselling.

Under the National Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ scheme, St Mary’s Monday Club has received a grant of £5,065 and Forget-Me-Not a grant of £10,000.

St Mary’s Monday Club will use the grant to provide three cultural and educational trips to older people living in Lanark.

The £10,000 grant for Forget-Me-Not Care and Counselling will fund professional counselling services for bereaved parents and families across Scotland.

“I am very proud of the two groups – they are worthy recipients who do excellent work in the local area,” said Aileen.
