AFTER losing one of his eyes to a rare form of cancer, Ron North is aiming to raise funds – by releasing his own charity single.

Music student Ron (26) was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in June 2009.

A series of treatments failed and he eventually had to have his right eye removed in September last year.

But he is now releasing the single, Do These Words, to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Dear Ron Its great to see you with a big smile on your face. I know its hard with eye cancer- I was diagnonsed in 2006. You are so young too, if you want any suppor then please go to http:www.ocumeluk.org Its harder being in Scotland you have less choice than we have in England as there are even fewer of you there. It may be you could support other young ocular melanoma patients in Scotland- they do exist. Good luck and Carpe diem
