Aiming to calm fears...Finance Minister John Swinney

SCOTLAND’S finance minister John Swinney will be coming to Clydesdale on Monday to personally try to quell any fears local businesses have about Independence.

He is hosting an ‘open house’ at the Cornhill House Hotel near Biggar that day, accompanied by Michelle Thomson, managing director of the pro-Indy Business for Scotland organisation.

Together they will, in the words of the Clydesdale Yes Campaign: “present the case for an economically successful independent Scotland” and thereafter face questions from the audience.
