INDEPENDENCE for Clydesdale MSP Aileen Campbell is pure and simply about democracy.
She said: “We have to put Scotland’s future back into Scotland’s hands.”
Biggar resident Aileen gave her views on why Scotland should say ‘Yes’ to a 420-strong audience at the Carluke and Lanark Gazette’s Scottish Independence Debate at Lanark Memorial Hall on Monday, May 26.
And for Carluke and Lanark Gazette readers – and everyone else – who couldn’t make it along on the night, our video from the event explains why the Clydesdale MSP wants readers to vote Yes on September 18.
She said: “Decisions about Scotland would be taken by the people who care most about Scotland, those who live and work here.
“That’s democracy; that’s right.”
We hope you enjoy our video from the Gazette’s Independence Debate and videos of the other guest speakers on the night – fellow Yes Clydesdale speaker Robin McAlpine and Better Together Clydesdale speakers Professor Adam Tomkins and MP David Mundell.
