Dad calls for pupil medical cover probe

Upset...Brendan and son Tiernan

Upset...Brendan and son Tiernan

AN angry dad of a child attending a Lanark school has asked for a government probe into medical cover for pupils following an accident involving his son.

As reported in the Gazette, in February, nine-year-old Teirnan McGirr suffered a head injury in a fall at St Mary’s Primary School.

Dad Brendan complained bitterly when his son was sent home to Rigside, apparently concussed and without proper First Aid treatment.
