Worried...dad Brendan and son Tiernan

AN angry dad has accused Lanark’s St Mary’s Primary School of “failing in its duty of care” to his son after an accident last week.

Brendan McGirr wants a full investigation into First Aid cover at the school after his 9-year-old son Tiernan was given no assistance after a fall and was sent home concussed, according to his father.

He further complained about what he alleged was a heavy-handed attitude taken to him by the education authority, South Lanarkshire Council, when he tried to complain about the incident.
