Child dies in accident on Symington farm

A CHILD has died in an accident on a farm in Symington.

Officers described the accident, which happened at 2.55pm yesterday as “tragic”.

The police are not yet releasing full details.

Officers are still in the process of telling members of the family about the incident and were still at the scene late on Thursday evening.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: “Around 2.55pm, we were notified of a tragic accident which occured on a farm in the Symington area, which has resulted in the death of a child.

“Police are currently at the scene and further details will be released once they have been established and family informed.”
