Campaign for Clydesdale Route on the list of nation’s famous rail lines

COULD the Clydesdale Route soon be joining the West Highland and East Coast on the list of the nation’s famous rail lines?
That is certainly the aim of the area’s List MSP Claudia Beamish, one of those campaigning for our area to get far better rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow out of next year’s new cross-country services between the two cities.
It has yet to be decided if the new two hourly service under the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme will even stop at the two Clydesdale stations on the route, namely Carluke and Carstairs.
