A MUCH loved old building in Biggar is being prepared to play its THIRD very different role in the life of the town.
As reported, the Biggar Museum Trust is moving out of its Gladstone Court Museum and Moat Park Heritage Centre to consolidate its displays in one site, a former garage on High Street.
This week the Trust has applied for planning permission to convert one of these redundant buildings, Moat Park into three private homes. It also wants to build another house in the grounds.
The building was a church before its museum use.
Now it is planned to convert the core Victorian building into three flats with a 20th century rear extension being demolished for a kitchen and a conservatory to be built.
