IN this week’s Carluke Gazette, we reveal that Carluke Rotary Club’s Calls For Heroes campaign – providing extra telephone talk time to our brave soldiers fighting in Afghanistan – has been extended to English regiments.

In this week’s Lanark Gazette, profile the group of German school students whose bus crashed in Nemphlar. Fortunately none of the 52-strong party were injured and they praised the hospitality offered to them afterwards by the people of Clydesdale.
