2015 Lanimer drinking ban imposed

Ban coming...on Lanimer street drinking

Ban coming...on Lanimer street drinking

THE result of a poll on public drinking on Lanimer Day has been set aside and a ban IS to be imposed.

However, as predicted in the Gazette, it will not be put in place until next year’s celebrations.

Last week after the Gazette went to press, South Lanarkshire Council, as the licensing authority, decided to discount the results of its own public consultation exercise on the issue.

For more information on this story, pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette which is in the shops now.
