Lanark teenager Ross Adamson has won a top army award after finishing his recruit training.
Highlander Adamson (18) was awarded the prize for Best Recruit at the end of the Combat Infantryman’s Course at Catterick, North Yorkshire.
“Despite his young age he has impressed with his maturity and leadership potential,” said platoon commander, Captain James Hoy.
“He was hard-working, confident and bright, setting the standard for the rest of the platoon. I have no doubt that he will go on to a long and successful career.”
