Becoming Dean of the Guildry of Lanark was a big step for James Moynagh – but he has also become Lord President of the Court of Deans, covering all the Guildries in Scotland.

Ten Guildries each have a turn at supplying the Lord President, and James was surprised to find that suddenly that was him!

“I will go round Scotland talking about Lanark and trying to raise its profile.” said James.

“That will be my mission.”

James (55), a project manager for Star Refrigeration, is from Bellshill but moved to Lanark 12 years ago. He and his wife Rosalynn have two grown-up sons.
