Police are continuing enquiries after a local shop in Forth was broken into on Saturday (12 December).

Sometime between 0300 and 0600 hrs on Saturday 12 December the Co-op supermarket in Main Street, Forth was broken into and a large quantity of money stolen from the ATM within the shop.

Detective Constable Gary Lipscombe at Wishaw CID said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Main Street, Forth between 0300 and 0600 hrs and may have seen a person or persons hanging around suspiciously.

“The location of the shop is situated on a relatively quiet street therefore any unusual activity may have been spotted.

“I appeal to anyone who was returning home from a night out or perhaps starting their work early that morning to jog their memories and think if they noticed anything unusual in the area.
