THE Carluke and Lanark Gazette is this week launching a search for two young heroes.

Far too often we’re told that children only hit the headlines in bad news stories.

And we want to ensure that our local children are given the merit they deserve – but we need YOUR help to do that.

On Wednesday, May 25, the Gazette will feature a special supplement The Kids Are Alright.

This will focus on children’s groups and organisations which don’t always get the good publicity they deserve.

And, as part of this special supplement, the Gazette is this week launching its search for two extra-special youngsers.

We want readers to nominate youngsters who they believe deserve our Kids Are Alright recognition awards.

We are looking for nominations in two age groups – five to eleven years old and twelve to eighteen years old.

To find out more, pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette which is in the shops now.
