All food donated by the churches and by the public will be sorted at the new base, then packed for distribution either to local referrals or to the satellite distribution centres in Lanark, Forth, Carstairs Junction, Biggar and Douglas.

The unit is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 1pm for donations of money, food, toiletries and cleaning products.

Food packs can only given out on receipt of a referral from a Social worker, health worker, housing association, CAB or any member of the clergy.

For full details pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette.
