Friends of Willie, who died aged 45 in 2008, hand over a cheque to Macmillan Cancer Support
Family and friends of well known Carluke man Willie McLean have held another charity night in St Athanasius Hall in his memory.
A total of £1500 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support for Willie, who died suddenly in June 2008 aged just 45.
Angela McCormack, from Macmillan, was given the cheque by Willie’s dad Willie Snr, good friend David Swan and Jim Gray.
Richard Swan, another good friend, said: “The phrase ‘life and soul of the party’ would best describe Willie.”
