GAMES featuring spacehoppers, bungee ropes and bucket-carrying across see-saws were part of a fun two hours of activities at the annual Douglas It’s A Knockout gathering.
The festivities – less than a week before Douglas Gala Day – saw six teams of four adults indulging in games which provided them with fantastic fun.
Douglas Gala chairperson Adele Smith said she had been thrilled with the success of a day held at the village’s Crabtree Park, even although the weather had been far from ideal!
Adele said: “The event went really well considering the weather, which was wet for most of the day.
“Ironically, the sun finally came out at the end of the day when everybody was getting soaked anyway by jumping in the paddling pool!”
Winners of Douglas It’s A Knockout were the fire station team Nee Naas, who received a shield, bottle of champagne and box of chocolates.
Meanwhile, the wooden spoon prize for fourth place was claimed by Team Hargreaves, who landed a bottle of fizzy juice.
Freelance photographer Sarah Peters was on hand to capture the action for the Gazette and her pictures are featured in our slideshow, created for your viewing pleasure by Johnston Press communities hub deputy editor Julie Currie. Enjoy folks!
