FIVE staff members at Dobbies Garden Centre braved the 170 foot Finnieston Crane in Glasgow and abseiled down it for the Alexandra Hospice in Paisley.

Dobbies general manager Craig Holland, together with staff members Andrew Mackay, Victoria McLean, Jennifer Aitchison and Chris Nicol completed the abseil in double-quick time and together raised a total of £800 which will go to the hospice to continue its great work.

Carol Inglis, from Dobbies, said: “They absolutely loved it. A lot of the team said that the hardest part was actually climbing up the crane.

“Climbing down was a lot easier for them and everyone at Dobbies is really proud of their efforts.”
