The Scottish SPCA was delighted with a generous donation from Biggar family textile business Calzeat.

The animal welfare charity has been partnered with the business since 2013 with £1 being donated from every Funfair scarf sold.

Superintendent Sharon Comrie said: “Since 2013 the partnership has raised £5294 for Scotland’s abused, abandoned and injured animals.

“We receive no government or lottery funding and we rely solely on donations, so are incredibly grateful for any funds raised on our behalf.’’

“Calzeat designer Tom Renton said: “We are very proud to support Scottish SPCA and all the work it does to help Scottish animals in need.”
