A TRIBUTE night in memory of music legend John Martyn will be held in Lanark this weekend.
The event, which will take place in The Crown on Saturday evening, has been organised by fans of music icon John, who lived in Clydesdale for a number of years before his death in 2009.
There will be a number of prizes from Island Records, including a collection of John’s work worth £180 as well as CDs and DVDs. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards Stanmore House School, a group close to John’s heart and his best friend’s, Jim McKnight.
The tribute night will be held in The Crown, Lanark, this Saturday, September 28. Doors open at 8pm.
