PUPILS at Lanark’s Robert Owen Primary School warmed the hearts of a 150-strong audience at a superb Burns Concert.

Parents in the crowd loved the 90-minute show, which included singing, poetry recitals, instrument playing, country dancing, Highland dancing and a Scottish version of the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin.

Head teacher David Lynas said: “There was a great atmosphere. There was an array of talent and I was very proud of our pupils, as always.”

Children from P1 to P7 took part, with one of the most memorable aspects being the rendition of Caledonia by P7 girls Megan Graham and Grace McCallum.
