ONE of the hottest young acts in the UK folk scene will take to the stage in the latest Wee Gig concert.

Luke Jackson will be at Roberton Village Hall later this month and is the latest up-and-coming star to be part of this series of shows which have certainly caught the imagination of Upperward music fans of the past couple of years.

Singer/songwriter Luke hails from Canterbury in Kent, and in 2013 was nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for both the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Talent and The Young Folk Category.

His bold, distinctive voice and a sweet, percussive guitar style, has contributed to his growing reputation as a captivating live performer.

Luke Jackson will be at Roberton Village Hall on Saturday, April 18, at 8pm.
