LANARK Music Connections is getting its third year of bringing live entertainment to the town underway by welcoming back an old friend later this month.

Having already come to Lanark for Connections gigs in the past two years, former The Witches member Patsy Mathieson returns with her new folk duo partner Rebecca Mills to play The Horse and Jockey pub on Wednesday, February 29, starting at around 8pm.

This year Jackie Morrison is taking over the chairmanship of Connections and he and his team are also organising a Ceilidh at the Harry Smith Complex on Easter Sunday, April 8; ticket details will follow in future Gazettes.

For more on this story pick up a copy of the Carluke and Lanark Gazette, which is in the shops now.
