LANARK is to play a very special dual role in the launch of the first release of a new acoustic Scottish supergroup.

Not only will Drever McGuire Young give the first public airing of their debut album Gifts at The Crown in Hope Street on February 9, they’ve also asked local artist Gordon Campbell to design the cover artwork.

Those in the musical know in Scotland are avidly awaiting both the gig and the release, issued on Orcadian Recordings, as all three members of what has already been shortened to DMY have built up their own admirable reputations.
