Carluke singer Mark Hawthorne is definitely now going places with band Broken Alphas.

For Mark (27) and his band mates recently signed a record deal with London-based producers The Animal Farm and will be releasing their new single Sunshine and Hurricanes later on in the spring.

Not bad for a band that only had its first gig this time last year!

Mark, who works as an IT analyst, said: “It all seems to be kicking off at just the right time.

“This is the first time I’ve been part of a band so it’s very exciting for me. It’s a bit of a change from the day job!”
