Biggar Theatre Workshop’s latest production is just too good to be true.

Good Things will hit the Biggar Corn Exchange later this month and local theatre-goers are in for a treat.

Written by celebrated Scottish poet Liz Lochhead, Good Things is the follow-up to previous work Perfect Days.

It centres around 49-year-old Susan who is desperate not to be left on the shelf along with the unwanted goods at the charity shop where she works.

Suddenly single Susan is dreading her 50th birthday and is faced with a number of problems, namely an old dad in his second childhood, a daughter in the throes of aggravated adolescence and an ex who, unfortunately, still has the power to wound her seemingly at will.

Set exclusively in the charity shop where she’s a volunteer, the play is poignant, hilarious and has a lot to say about finding love the second time around.
