WITH the success of summer blockbusters such as The Dark Knight Rises and American Reunion, Britain’s cinemas have never been busier.
And volunteers at Biggar Little Cinema – which has just released its programme of films for later in the year – are hoping to cash in when the shorter nights come in.
The programme which will run between October and March includes two films which each won five Oscars at the 2012 Academy Awards, namely The Artist and Hugo.
It also features The Descendants, starring George Clooney, animated film The Pirates, British comedy The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and the latest James Bond film Skyfall, which will hit the big screen later this year.
Last season was the Little Cinema’s first and it proved a huge success with almost every showing of each film being a sell-out.
Biggar Little Cinema remains under the umbrella of Biggar Rotary Club and BLC Film Group Treasurer Stewart Houston is hoping even more people come along to this season’s films.
