IT was a weekend to remember for singer-songwriter Jim Duncan as he enjoyed being part of this year’s Glastonbury.
Jim was part of Glastonbury’s own onsite station, Worthy FM, and played several gigs in the various crew bars set up behind the scenes at the world’s most famous festival.
For Jim, from Biggar, it was an experience he won’t forget in a hurry.
He said: “It was absolutely superb and I managed to do nine or 10 gigs throughout the weekend.
“I was a resident musician so I was asked to fill in for a few venues at short notice but it was great.
“One gig was supposed to last an hour but I ended up doing two and a half hours and I almost lost my voice.
“I was out and about as well and got to meet a lot of the right people and increased my little black book of contacts.
“I had only been on one radio show before so that was another good learning experience for me.
“I also had to write a couple of songs during the weekend about various aspects of the festival so I’m hoping that I will be back next year.”
