MAJOR players in the new wave of folk, The Jaywalkers, star in the latest Clyesdale Folk Club concert, being held at Biggar Corn Exchange on Saturday, May 30.
The trio first came to public attention when reaching the finals of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2008 and have gone on to establish their place as one of the most exciting and entertaining young bands on the folk scene in the UK.
Their latest album ‘Weave’ was released in April and its songs will feature prominently during the Biggar gig, starting at 8pm. Admission will be £10 (£8 for members and £2 for school age) payable on the door. Further details and a link to the Jaywalkers website can be found at www.clydesdalefolkclub.net
