USUALLY the last thing locals want to see during their village gala week is a wet start – but it wasn’t a bad thing in Carstairs last Sunday.
Why? Because a fun-filled It’s A Knockout competition was held to mark the start of Carstairs Gala Week and all those attending were happy to get a bit wet.
The family fun afternoon saw plenty of people taking part and a healthy crowd was in attendance, despite the Commonwealth Games baton relay being in Clydesdale the same day.
