CARLUKE Amateur Operatic’s 2013 show, Witches of Eastwick, certainly pushed the boundaries!
It boasted a raunchy plot featuring the seduction of three women by their so-called ‘dream man’.
“It was a very risque show,” said director James Cassidy. “To do something like that was very ambitious.
“Members came up trumps because they really embraced the show.”
Leading man Darryl Van Horne (played by Christiano Mariotti) was the object of the affections of witches Alexandra Spoffard (Lee Macarthur), Sukie Rougement (Monica Jamieson) and Jane Smart (Claire McVicar).
The show was performed at Carluke Lifestyles Centre from Tuesday, November 12, to Saturday, November 16.
Gazette photographer Lindsay Addison was on hand to capture all the action at the dress rehearsal and his pictures are featured in our slideshow.
